How to Fix the Multitab Error in BreezeFSM Backend Portal Login

Multitab Error When Logging into the BreezeFSM Backend Portal

📌 Feature Name

BreezeFSM Backend Portal – Login Session Management

🖼️ Reference Screenshot

📝 Description

This error occurs when a user tries to access the BreezeFSM backend portal multiple times from different browser tabs without logging out properly.

Since BreezeFSM allows only one active session per user, closing a tab without signing out and then attempting to log in again in a new tab causes the system to detect a session conflict and display a "Multitab Error" message.

⚠️ Error Message Displayed

"You are not allowed to open the application in multiple tab"

📍 Reasons Why This Happens

  1. Previous Session Still Active

    • Closing the tab without logging out leaves the last session active in the system.

  2. Multiple Login Attempts in Different Tabs

    • Opening the BreezeFSM portal in more than one tab triggers a session conflict.

  3. Security Restrictions

    • BreezeFSM prevents multiple active tabs to protect data integrity and avoid conflicting actions.

🛠️ How to Fix This Issue

✅ Step 1: Restore the Last Tab and Log Out

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + T (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + T (Mac) to reopen your last closed tab.

  • If BreezeFSM loads, log out properly from that session.

✅ Step 2: Use the SignOff Link to Reset the Session

  • If you are stuck on the Multitab Error screen:

    1. Look at the URL in your browser address bar — it will end with MultiTabError.aspx.

    2. Replace MultiTabError with signoff in the URL.

    3. Press Enter.

    4. You’ll be redirected to the BreezeFSM login page.

✅ Step 3: Log In Again

  • Enter your credentials and log in as usual.

📌 Prevention Tips

  • Always log out from BreezeFSM before closing the tab or browser.

  • Avoid opening the backend portal in multiple browser tabs.

  • Bookmark the SignOff URL for quick access if the error occurs frequently.
